The web 2.0 is the term
about second generation in pages web. The web 2. 0 focuses in to share and collaborate
information in different pages web. Its predecessor was Web 1.0, but the
different between web 1.0 and web 2.0 are “who writes” the information. There are
more interactivity with the user, and you can “edit” this information. Web 1.0
just professional people could share information in the net.
“The concept of "Web 2.0" began with a
conference brainstorming session between O'Reilly and MediaLive International.
Dale Dougherty, web pioneer and O'Reilly VP, noted that far from having
"crashed", the web was more important than ever, with exciting new
applications and sites popping up with surprising regularity. What's more, the
companies that had survived the collapse seemed to have some things in common.
Could it be that the dot-com collapse marked some kind of turning point for the
web, such that a call to action such as "Web 2.0"”
Due to the emergence of new content on the web, O'Reilly and MediaLive named “web 2.0”. The new content consisted pages with users,
users could make information and to shares that information with a community.
Web 2.0 isn’t just for look
information, we can use this for teaching or learning, there are many tools for
that, for example:
Wikis: one example is “Wikipedia”. We can to share
content with a username and password, the students can to make one and to do
use of this tools.
Blogs: the students and teacher can public articles, essays, discuss about any topic, etc. Example: BlogSpot.
Galleries: This is more dynamic, here you can find videos, images, audiovisual material that you share with other people. Example: Admire the Web
Forum: You make a topic and people can discuss about it.
Websites: “Sites with content and different functionality that serves as a source of information or as a community support.”

Nowadays, technologies are part of
our lives, even if, most of the time we use social
networks but there are many benefits from web 2.0 only aren’t the social
networks. We can find a lot information on web, we need learn more about
technologies, get used to make forums, wikis, galleries and spend less time in
other things.

Reflection

I would like to work with GoAnimate
because it is a tool creative and innovating. Go!Animete has avatars that you
can customize your avatar. This is interested for many students because is
different and funny. Teachers can divide students into classes and/or
workgroups. Also, teachers have the option to moderate student videos before
the videos become visible to the group. It is accessible for students and
teachers, if teacher want, the students can't see the videos that older
students did.
I really would like to
try this tools, i think the teachers and students will enjoy to work with it.
